Thanks for watching my review on the new ResMed AirSense 11. I gave it a score of 80/100 which i think is very fair.

Here's a breakdown of the review scores
1. Size & Portability - 9/10
2. CPAP Comfort Features - 9/10
3. User Experience - 9/10
4. Noise - 8/10
5. Reliability, Durability, Warranty & Repairs - 8/10
6. Value For Money / Maintenance Costs - 7/10
7. Innovation / Technology - 7/10
8. Design / Aesthetics - 8/10
9. Data / Connectivity - 8/10
10. Company Culture & Business Ethics - 7/10

It the best cpap i have used although very similar to their best selling AirSense 10.

If you currently have an AirSense 10 then there's probably no need to upgrade just now unless you like the sound of any of those features i mentioned. It's certainly small and lightweight which might be attractive for those frequent flyers / travellers. The touchscreen is also really nice however doesn't add much to the overall functionality of the device.

Having all the Autoset Algorithms in the one device is a great decision and if you find the pressure changes are waking you up then it's great to have the 'soft' response mode and the 'for her' algorithm to try for comfort.

I personally found the Standard algorithm with standard response was fine however i do tend to decrease the pressure range (min 5 - max 10) works fine for me as i only really need it for some intermittent snoring especially after a night on beers.

I didn't mention 'Safety'. ResMed has said the machines are safe to use and i think we have to trust them on that. Just stay away from ozone especially with the AS11 as there's a whole lot more sound abatement foam inside it.

The foam can be removed however i don't recommend it. It will be a lot noisier if you remove it compared with the AirSense 10.

Scott Bocanegra : Great comparison video Nicko. Definitely gonna go through Sleeplay whenever I order my Air Sense 11. Cracked up when I heard the burp. Stay safe Brother.
Robert Litman : I had an S9 before my Airsense 10, and for me, the best improvement about the Airsense 10 is that angled hose mount (with the humidifier tank being the other big improvement). I feel that the straight back hose is a big step backwards.

I agree with your observations regarding filtration. It seems that the mentality is similar to what I see in HVAC, where most filters are just there to minimally protect the equipment. I too would love to see real PM2.5 protection, but the catch here is that better filtration necessitates more frequent (and likely expensive) filter changes.

As for size, I'd suggest you consider two use cases. I pack my S9 for travel, because it's so small (without the humidifier). The 11 sure seems more packable than the 10, but on a nightstand, really only the footprint matters, and there, the S9 with the humidifier was huge. Everything is a tradeoff though, and while the two part S9 seemed like a great idea, the attachment was a real weak point too.
BADOLDBIKER : Great review Nick. For me the hose fitting change to straight out and no swivel is a step backwards, the 90 degree fitting and swivel on the AirSense10 offers a lot of flexibility for positioning of the machine. I would have a sharp bend in the hose in my current machine position with a straight out hose, I think the hose may fail after time with a sharp bend right at the fitting. It may have a smaller footprint but having to have more space for the hose pointing straight out the back of the unit would be a PITA for me. Other than that 80/1OO is a good rating.
ABurro : I’ve watched a few of your videos, but this is the one that really impressed me. I’ve been using an AirSense 10 since 2015 and am very pleased with it. When it is time to replace it, I now have some confidence that the AirSense 11 will provide at least the same decent service that I have received from the 10. Thanks for your review and especially for attempting to keep the CPAP manufacturers somewhat accountable for the decisions.

Jeff C : When is this machine going to be available for online purchase?
Gaslive : That's such a good news!! Congrats
dragonWarrior : Does the AirSense11 come with the ClimaAir grey (heated) tubing in the box, as part of the machine? (or it requires a separate purchase?) Thanks.
Mike W : Is there a place to see my average pressure?
I'm not convinced I'm getting enough air. I have an appointment but it is several months away.
maomaodoudou : I don't get it. How come this machine basically has openings. What I mean is if I'm done with it for the night, I will clean humidifier chamber in morning. That means the machine will be open on the right side, exposed to air and dirty particles floating around. I will also clean tubing, meaning the back is exposed to the same stuff. Isn't that unsanitary?

dragonWarrior : Does the AirSense11 come with the ClimaAir grey (heated) tubing in the box, as part of the machine? (or it requires a separate purchase?) Thanks.
RVC74 : Why don't you put your phone on a tripod so you can have two hands free?
